Episode 8: Your Ticket to Growth as a Photographer

We all want to be better photographers, that’s why you’re here after all (or you’re my family, hey thanks!!). That’s why we are always learning new techniques, testing out different settings, compositing, etc, and always wanting new gear.

I get it, because that is me too.

But what if I told you there is a piece of the puzzle that is critical to your growth as a photographer that has nothing to do with actually planning, shooting or editing photos?

That is what this episode is all about. If there is one thing I got out of going to Art University and earning not one but two art degrees? It’s that critique and feedback is INTEGRAL to being a better photographer.

But it is not always accessible for new photographers, and frankly sometimes it’s not easy to receive. Fear not! This episode is exactly what you need to grow!

When  you are done listening to this episode you will know:

  • Why you need to ask for feedback and what might be stopping you

  • Where to ask for feedback so you can avoid the ever present internet trolls

  • How to give and receive feedback in a way that is effective for both parties

When you finish listening, I'd love to hear your biggest takeaway from today’s episode. Take a screenshot of you listening on your device, share it to your Instagram or Facebook stories and tag me. @kristinerosephotography
